Annual tree- and Crèche-lighting Ceremony

This year was the 18th annual tree- and crèche-lighting ceremony.

Alumni Christmas Luncheon

A favorite annual tradition, the Alumni Christmas Luncheon, was held Friday, Dec. 5, at the Crowne Plaza Riverfront Hotel in downtown St. Paul. This year’s guest presenter was Father Larry Snyder, current president of Catholic Charities USA. Father Snyder was recently named as St. Thomas’ new vice president for mission effective Feb. 1, 2015. The program included a special appearance by a student ensemble performing music from the Christmas concert.

This year’s St. Thomas Christmas Concert, “Light of Light,” continued a holiday tradition cherished by many St. Thomas alumni and friends. Performing in the concert was the Chamber Singers, Concert Choir, Liturgical Choir, Women’s Choir, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and Handbell Choir.

Music Alumni Gathering

The Department of Music invited all department and ensemble alumni to celebrate the season at a gathering following the 4 p.m. concert. Alumni reconnected while enjoying complimentary appetizers.

St. Thomas Alumni Choir Christmas Concert

Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas

The St. Thomas Alumni Choir is a mixed vocal ensemble committed to continuing the high choral standards set forth by the St. Thomas choirs. Composed of UST alumni young and old, the St. Thomas Alumni Choir performs both sacred and secular repertoire from contemporary and historic composers.
