The University of St. Thomas

Student-Alumni Mentoring (SAM)

Sponsored by the Student Alumni Council and the Alumni Association Board of Directors

The Student-Alumni Mentoring (SAM) program, began nearly two decades ago and is the preeminent undergraduate mentoring program at the University of St. Thomas. In line with the university's mission of "educating students to become morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely, and work skillfully to advance the common good,” the program draws upon the expertise and passion of alumni to effect professional growth in St. Thomas students.

Alumni mentors provide career advice on networking, job searching, interviewing, balancing life obligations and other life-skills knowledge to undergraduate students in all academic areas. Matches are assigned in mid-fall semester and continues throughout the academic year.

Registration for the 2014-2015 program year is closed.

For 2015 participants, please review the SAM Handbook prior to meeting your matches.
