The University of St. Thomas

Student-Alumni Mentoring (SAM)

Sponsored by the Student Alumni Council and the Alumni Association Board of Directors

For over two decades, the Student-Alumni Mentoring (SAM) program has been the preeminent undergraduate mentoring program at the University of St. Thomas. In line with the university's mission of "educating students to become morally responsible leaders who think critically, act wisely, and work skillfully to advance the common good,” the program draws upon the expertise and passion of alumni to effect professional growth in St. Thomas students.

Alumni mentors provide career advice on networking, job searching, interviewing, balancing obligations and other life-skills to undergraduate students in all academic areas. Matches are assigned in October and the program continues throughout the academic year (although we believe the relationship can last a lifetime).
