Lee Anderson is the chairman of APi Group, Inc., a St. Paul holding corporation of construction, manufacturing and fire-protection companies. He was elected to the St. Thomas Board of Trustees in 2000.

Anderson and his wife, Penny, have been major benefactors of the Opening Doors capital campaign, and the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex, the Anderson Parking Facility, and the recently opened Anderson Student Center all are named in recognition of their generosity.
Mr. Anderson is on the boards of many companies, foundations and other organizations, including the Board of  Governors of the University of St. Thomas School of Law. In 2002, he received the John F. Cade Award for  entrepreneurial excellence from the John M. Morrison Center for Entrepreneurship at St. Thomas. A passionate believer in sharing one’s wealth, Anderson will share his personal philosophy about philanthropy, especially his desire to help higher-education institutions.

Time: Check-in begins at 11:30 a.m., Lunch begins at noon.

SPONSOR YOUNG ALUMNI: The Alumni Association is offering a new opportunity for alumni to share the First Friday Speaker Series experience and sponsor young alumni – specifically, undergraduate alumni of the last three years – to attend. Sponsors do not  have to attend the event themselves, and they can sponsor any number of young alumni they choose. Sponsored young alumni will be chosen and seated randomly from among respondents to a monthly young-alumni call for attendees.

PARKING: Surface lot parking is available.
SHUTTLE: A free shuttle will depart at 11:30 a.m. from the St. Thomas Minneapolis campus on the corner of Harmon Pl. and 10th St. The shuttle will return to the campus immediately following the luncheon.
